Top Must Have Hair Products

Ok I'll admit it. I'm in love with my hair. And it's something that I personally make sure I take care of. So I thaught that I would share some of my favorite hair products that I used to maintain my precious mane.

1. Organix Moroccan Oil
2. Batiste Dry Shampoo
3. TRESemme non-aerosol hair spray
4. TRESemme Thermal Creations heat protectant.
* all of these products are pretty inexpensive and can be found at a local drugstore.

And here's a tip for y'all: temperatures above 425 degrees can denature your hair so try to avoid using such high temperatures when heat styling your hair.

Let me know if you use any of these products too. And what are some of your favorite hair products.

Mason Jar DIY'S

Whenever I go to get a drink in my house I am greeted by about 20 mason jars sitting in the cabinet from my mom buying jelly's and other condiments and not wanting to throw out the jar. I was thinking about what we can do with them and decided to make them candles. They looked very plain with just a tea candle in them so I decided to spice it up with glitter.

The first step to making your Mason jars look amazing is to spray the inside of the jars with Elmer's Extra Strength Spray Glue.
Next you want to pour the whole tub of glitter into the jar, close the lid, and shake the jar. After this you want to pour the excess glitter in plastic bag and then shake the jar over the sink to get any loose bits out.

After just place a Tea Light at the bottom of the jar and light it.

Ed Sheeran Concert

Military Jacket: NikiBiki Jeans
Jeans: J-Brand Skinny Jeans
Shoes: BCBG Black Oxford Shoes
Shirt: Mine

Last Night was absolute mental. Of course Ed Sheeran was amazing and so was Rizzle Kicks. They both put on amazing  shows. I have never been to a concert that was so full of energy and everyone was so invested in his performance. When he sang ballads you could probably hear a pin drop in the arena. If you haven't been to a Ed Sheeran concert I suggest you go to one soon. By far one of the best concerts I have ever been to. He never stopped once to talk or anything it was non stop singing for 2 hours and he only has one album. compared to other artist that have 3 or even 5 albums and only sing half the time he did.

What was your best concert experience?

Book Review and Giveaway

Photos Provided by Google

The book Snapshot by Angie Stanton was one of the best books I have read in a long time. This book relates to the fan girl in all of us. It tell the tale of a young girl named Marti who has not had the best home life and the lead guitarist from the world famous band Jamieson.

Marti Hunter hates rockers and anything related to the rock-and-roll lifestyle she was forced to be a part of when she was younger. With her less than stellar home life she was forced to live with a drug addict mom and rock legend father. Then she goes to live with her grandmother, and her life starts to get back to normal.

For the pop star Adam Jamieson, normal is not a possibility. He is the all talented guitar player of the band Jamieson. He’s happy to finally get a two-week break from his hectic rock star life to hang with regular teens. Adam goes undercover and become a normal teenager, something that is almost alien to him. But when Marti and Adam, meet sparks fly. They spend their time making out and fighting. But their adventures of storm watching, skinny dipping, and hidden kisses are brought to a end when Marti's world turns upside down.
Suddenly, they’re put on opposite sides of the country. Can Marti get through life with her dad and gold digging girlfriend? Will Adam make a choice that will change his life just so he can be with the girl he loves? Find out when you read Snapshot by: Angie Stanton.

Sunday Night Prep

Sunday night has always been a night where I can pamper myself. Depending on how stressed I am I will do different things. Before I do anything I always indulge in a bath. Before my bath though I usually moisturize my face with Noxzema face wash so I don't go into the bath with a face full of makeup, and so the steam can open up my pores. For my bath I usually light a few candles and set them around my bath tub to create a calming mood. After the bath is filled with warm water I pop in a Bubble Bath Bar from Lush, then I also add a bath Bomb from Lush as well. While in the bath I wash my body with the Neutrogena Body Clear Body Wash, Pink Grapefruit. It really gives me a clean fresh felling and makes my skin nice and smooth.

After I am done with my bath I always give my hair a nice wash with the Dark and Lovely Au Naturale Knot Out Conditioner and Shampoo. After my hair has had a good scrub I put a Shea Moisturizer Hair Mask in my hair and put it all up with a Turby Towel so the hair does not get in my face. No pamper day is complete without a face mask. I usually use the Shiseido Facial Mask and keep it on my face for 10-15 minutes.

After all of this I indulge in a full body moisturize. The moisturizer I am currently using is the Johnson's Baby lotion because it leave my skin baby soft and keeps is soft and silky for up to 2 weeks. When all these steps are done I pop on a comfy pair of sweat pants, socks and my favorite button down sleep shirt, while I wait for my face and hair mask to do its job. After I was off the face mask I put on my Estee Lauder skin serum and over that I put on my Clean & Clear dual action moisturizer  After that I will rinse out the hair mask and do my regular hair routine. Blow dry, and straighten.

Next I will paint my nails. Right now I have really loved the TopShop nail polish in the color Peaches & Cream. Once my nails are done my pamper evening will have come to a end and I will cuddle up on the coach with my favorite book and a comfy blanket.

What are your pamper day must haves?
